About Dr Rob

Rob has spent most of his career in the private sector – being principal of practices in both Sydney and Townsville. He has also spent time undertaking remote locum work in Weipa, Alice Springs and Swan Hill as well as urban care in Canberra, plus providing mobile sedation services in Sydney.

Hobbies

Outside of dentistry, some of Dr Rob’s favourite hobbies include breeding & hand-raising parrots, spending time with his grandkids, reading & a good movie night too.
Dr Rob has always loved animals & alongside his wife, cares for over 100 animals on his small farm.

Educating & Training

Rob’s initial qualification was the Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney, and while practicing in Sydney he completed many continuing education courses. He later completed the MRACDS examinations to become a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the Post Grad Dip in Conscious Sedation and Pain Control which qualifies him to provide the full spectrum of dental care under Twighlight Sedation. Rob has also had extensive experience treating patients under general anaesthetic.  

In 2013 Rob also completed an MBA from James Cook University and is currently finalising his MA and a Masters in Public Health. He has tutored undergraduate Medical and Allied Health students in Anatomy and was a Year 5 Clinical Tutor for the JCU Dental School. 

Experience

Dr Rob has spent many years developing a comprehensive approach to dental care, with a special interest in dental sedation, implants, minor oral surgery, and gum care. He manages complex cases and is able to provide support for referring dentists, particularly with complex emergency care.
